Burlington Business Reporting Analyst I in Burlington, New Jersey

As the Business Reporting Analyst I , you will be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining reports and dashboards for various business units across the organization. Responsible for analyzing user requirements, understanding the existing application suite, documenting the functional specifications, and supporting business users with the testing and on-going business queries. Effectively communicate and collaborate with senior leadership across the organization, including but not limited to Merchandising VPs/SVPs, and Planning VPs/SVP. Will also have frequent interaction with IT, Merchants, and Planning at various levels of management. Use independent judgment and discretion to make sounds decisions.
Create Business Tools and Solutions

  • Develop methodologies, dashboards, and files for analyzing and presenting data

  • Design and build analytical solutions to streamline or automate current manual processes

  • Effectively scope, size, and plan the development of analytical solutions and set expectations accordingly

  • Collect, analyze, and translate high level business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to such specifications

  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs

  • Support existing and ad-hoc reports for various departments

  • Identify opportunities to enhance business decision making through improved reporting

Conduct Research and Analysis of system performance and trouble shooting

  • Provides production support and assistance post-project implementation

  • Research and resolve issues that affect business reporting

  • Capable of planning, designing, and executing functional and technical system test scenarios against requirements to validate features, business process, and user workflows

  • Identify opportunities to enhance business decision making through improved reporting

  • Serve as subject matter experts to various business units regarding business reporting, and BI metrics

Ensure Consistency and Compliance with all published processes and procedures

  • Work with IT to develop system capabilities to support needs and adapt to changing business.

  • Assist with development and delivery of merchant training and training materials as needed in an effort to continually improve efficiencies in processes.

  • Develop and or ensure compliance with established formats for templates, Standards of Practice, and Training materials.

  • Coordinate across departments to provide Merchants with tools needed to conduct their business.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organization skills and detail-orientation with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time

  • Ability to manage through conflict and problem resolution

  • Strong computer skills with a thorough knowledge base of Microsoft Excel, (e.g., Pivot Tables)

  • Strong sense of business/retail math

  • Ability to identify and apply systems solutions to business problems

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to adapt to changes

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary

Our Candidate will have an Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, reporting and analysis, or comparable experience. Also, experience with Merchandise systems and MicroStrategy is preferred
