Burlington Director of Store Facilities in Burlington, New Jersey

As the Director of Store Facilities , you’ll lead the team responsible for ensuring that our customers and associates enjoy a safe, secure, and clean store environment at all times.The team responds to repair and maintenance requests, communicates with store managers, field leaders and vendors, and resolves issues.

The Director will be responsible for strategic planning of Facilities initiatives, and management of all financials. They will continuously develop and improve preventative maintenance programs, develop innovative solutions for preservation of store assets, and provide recommendations for long term capital investment.

This position requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in retail facilities maintenance with minimum of 10 years of management experience and outstanding leadership skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and develop team of Facilities professionals to provide excellent service to our internal customers

  • Create succession plan by assessing talent and creating individual development plans for direct reports

  • Participate in the development of strategic initiatives and proactive programs to improve service delivery and drive positive results.

  • Influence store design to improve long term maintenance through feedback on specifications and prototypical plans

  • Influence long term capital investment plans for assets i.e. electrical systems, plumbing systems, fire and burglar alarm systems, automatic doors, , through feedback on repair statistics and overall cost of ownership

  • Develop and utilize tools to assess vendor performance and implement improvement strategies for quality, responsiveness and financial compliance

  • Develop expense and capital budgets and manage performance against budget on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis to ensure compliance

  • Initiate and manage RFP’s, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing to reduce cost per transaction

  • Lead team in the development and execution of expense saving initiatives

  • Develop reporting tools to assist in management of services, such as work order variance reporting, vendor score carding, associate statistical reporting

  • Perform special projects as assigned

  • Occasional travel required

  • Ability to be on call after hours and weekends for emergencies is required.
