Burlington Executive Recruiter - Contract Role in Burlington, New Jersey

Overview

The Executive Recruiter will work closely with the Director of Executive & Merchant Recruiting to successfully source, screen, interview and place top-quality talent into key positions within executive level roles. Qualified candidates will be well-versed in all aspects of an executive search including creative candidate sourcing, candidate generation and development, hiring manager management, and offer/negotiation. He or she will promote the “Our Burlington” talent brand across numerous social media channels and professional communities, while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sourcing – Utilize diverse channels including in-person, digital and social media for candidate sourcing. Possess a strong competency at sourcing platforms, especially LinkedIn Recruiter.

  2. Research – Conduct research to map target companies and top talent for assigned searches.

  3. Pipelining – Proactively identify passive talent using creative methods to engage top candidates who may not be actively seeking a new role. Actively manage that candidate list by establishing regular contact points to keep talent engaged.

  4. Manage Requisitions – Maintain a diverse portfolio of open job requisitions across a wide variety of departments for executive level roles

  5. Interviewing - Screen applicants (phone and in-person as applicable) against qualifications, interview selected qualified candidates, and evaluate talent for optional job alignment. Reflect on hires looking for ways to improve selection criteria and process for future hires.

  6. Placing/Hiring/Closing - Maintain postings within ATS, extend and negotiate candidate offers, send and collect offer packets, ensure new hire paperwork is complete prior to start date

  7. Selling Talent Brand – actively promote the “Our Burlington” talent brand through personal interactions and various social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)

  8. Hiring Manager Care - Build strong interpersonal relationships through frequent, independent interaction with hiring managers, senior executives (C Suite, SVPs, etc.)and human resources, to consult with and influence the recruitment process

  9. Candidate care/relationships – Develop and maintain a network of contacts through regular communication prior to, during and after the actual selection process; ensuring the candidate has a world-class experience aligned with the “Our Burlington” culture.

  10. Maintain Metrics – Accurately maintain recruiting metrics/reporting; and fully utilize the Applicant Tracking and Electronic Onboarding Systems

  11. Understanding the business – Spend time with leaders and professionals to understand their business units, including nuances that will improve our screening and selection processes. Actively participate in the internal talent management and succession planning process with HR Business Partners

  12. Consultative approach to developing and recommending recruiting strategies for highly skilled and/or senior leadership positions (i.e. search firms, temp services, alternative sourcing methods, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Recruiter

  • Demonstrated experience leading executive level searches for a large corporation or top executive search firm

  • Track record of innovative sourcing and building talent communities within unique functional skillsets

  • Working knowledge of ATS (HodesiQ, iCIMs, Taleo or other Applicant Tracking Solutions).

  • Experience leveraging various social medial tools (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) to promote the talent brand

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated initiative and creative problem-solving skills

  • Professional demeanor and strong business acumen

  • Ability to see beyond the tactical, to understand how the Recruiting function impacts the overall health of the business

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Basic knowledge of EEOC laws and regulations
