Burlington Import Operations Analyst in Burlington, New Jersey

As an Import Operations Analyst, you will be an expert in import order procedures including ELC management, testing protocol and port management. Responsibilities include supporting the merchants in managing and tracking licensor brand royalties. You will be a Liaison between merchants and licensor brand managers.

Responsibilities:
Import Process

  • Partners with Manager, Import Operations, Merchandise Process Analysts, and other cross functional teams to identify process improvements that will systemically reduce merchant time utilization away from their core responsibilities.

  • Identifies opportunities to streamline the import order process, ELC calculation including duty, commissions, freight and other load factors

  • Partners with Import Compliance, Import Transportation, Merchandise Process Analysts (MPAs),Vendor Relations and Supply Chain Initiatives and Legal to problem solve issues with existing or new vendors related to order transmission, style packing, and ticketing, and product testing

  • Implement milestone tracking to update progress and reinforce accountabilities on key import deliverables

Import Analysis and Management

  • Manages all operational functions for import orders: partners with import compliance, transportation, vendors, and legal to determines requirements for the order.

  • Calculates all factors contributing to ELC and provides recommendations to merchant to drive costs down as appropriate

  • Partners with Finance and Business Reporting Group to track Royalties for licensed brands and submit for payment per vendor contracts

  • Partners with MPAs to deliver merchant training on the import process

  • Analyzes order metrics to identify opportunities to improve profit through order management initiatives

  • Works with the Manager of Product Safety and Compliance to determine testing requirements and ensure testing requirements are met

Collaborative Relationships

  • Develops and maintains effective working relationship amongst members of cross-functional teams (Buying, DCs, Vendors, MIO and Supply Chain)

  • Demonstrates and utilizes strong communication skills in interactions with internal and external business partners creating a customer centric environment

  • Serves as the first point of contact for the user community on special order execution processes

  • Responds promptly and accurately to issues and inquiries surfaced by merchants, vendors and MIO business partners

  • Keeps individual, division, and total company goals in mind when making decisions

  • Fosters an environment based on Burlington’s core values

Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, and 1+ years’ experience as Assistant Buyer or equivalent level in other business
