An Instructional Designer on the Burlington Human Resources Learning & Development team supports our talent strategy of attracting, developing and retaining the best talent. The successful candidate has a corporate learning background to include learning design and learning delivery.
Maintain partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain insight, identify needs and recommend/design the best learning solutions for subject matter and learner.
Support learning design projects through the design lifecycle from project scoping, research and analysis, design, development and implementation.
Recommend the appropriate learning delivery method/s to achieve the desired business outcome (instructor-led, leader-led, e-learning, reference materials, webinar, etc.).
Partner with application facilitators/coaches for continuous improvement of existing learning content and development of new learning content.
Review existing content for continued relevance and ongoing updates.
Provide exemplary internal customer service with professionalism and ownership of learning deliverables.
Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration.
Facilitate instructor-led events as required.
Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience designing learning including classroom, e-learning and related course materials.
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects in a fast-paced, often changing environment.
Proficiency working in MS Word, MS Power Point, and e-learning authoring tools, including Articulate 360, Storyline and Captivate.
Familiarity with learning management system technology, such as Workday Learning.
Understanding of adult learning theory and training design models as it applies to corporate learning.
Degree or certification in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or Project Management related field preferred, but not required.
Retail, hospitality, grocery, quick service or other equivalent fast-paced industry experience a plus.
