We are growing rapidly and our Real Estate team is seeking a Lease Administration Audit Coordinator to join the team! As a Lease Administration Audit Coordinator, you will help ensure timely and accurate management of all financial obligations relating to Burlington lease agreements for all stores nationally.

Position requires 1-3 years’ Retail Lease Administration experience, with solid knowledge and understanding of retail leases and the ability to interpret them.

The successful candidate will have strong customer service, negotiation, and landlord/tenant relations skills and an understanding of Building/Facility Operations. Proficiency in Word & Excel required, experience with Lucernex and Oracle preferred. Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform and analyze Landlord reconciliations of operating expenses, including CAM, real estate taxes, utilities, and insurance

  • Negotiate and resolve complex landlord issues while promoting positive landlord/tenant relationships.

  • Perform and analyze landlord reconciliations of operating expenses in a timely manner; confirming billings are in accordance with lease terms

  • Conduct regular monitoring of landlord accounts, evaluating and reconciling monthly statements and escrow changes, and resolve any discrepancies to settle the account

  • Process audit findings and reimbursements as necessary and maintain such data in the Lucernex system

  • Ensure accuracy of all processed invoices and accrual data and that all new leases comply with company policies and Sarbanes Oxley requirements

  • Provide support to all internal and external partners concerning all occupancy cost inquiries in a timely manner

  • Support the Lease Administration and Legal teams to validate Consent Agreements, Waivers, Estoppel Certificates, and SNDAs as necessary.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, responding in a timely manner to all inquiries and validation requests

  • Assist landlords and tax attorneys with appeals

  • Minimize occupancy costs/reduce expenses through audit process enhancements

  • Support annual budget creation process

  • Assist with lease abstracts and special projects as needed
