In this role our Manager, BRIC will support overall company objectives by managing all functions within. The primary function of this role will be to lead and manage the strategy and overall operations at the BRIC, including life safety incidents and shortage related investigations. This role collaborates closely with store and field asset protection teams and operational business partners to identify, analyze, and mitigate shortage and life safety risks through investigations as well as proactive measures to minimize opportunity for intentional harm or dishonest behaviors. Additionally, the role will lead through situational decision making regarding high-risk incidents and security related events. Lastly, the leader will also support the recruiting, training, hiring and development of associates within the BRIC and ensure the proper staffing and talent allocation needed to support the business.
Lead a team to execute the daily processes within the BRIC, including information intake and response, situational assessment, crisis decision making, and communication and follow up.Responsible for the transition of learning into applied and practiced behaviors for BRIC associates.Identify relevant opportunities to test/implement new technology orto make the BRIC an effective organizational support mechanism
Lead team to execute internal and external theft investigations. Manage the company systems and programs to help identify large scale external theft, supply chain, and internal theft issues. Validate investigations are consistent with company core values and of the highest ethical standards. Stay abreast of industry trends, practices, and technology and adapt to internal and external theft trends. Identify relevant opportunities to test/implement new technology or strategy.
Conduct trend analysis of inventory shortage, internal and external theft, and life safety events. Create and deliver investigative findings to key stakeholders, including recommendations for actions and resolution. Manage and conduct data collection and analysis to identify and address root cause of issues – including shortage and life safety concerns
Source, hire, and develop the BRIC associates to support the overall needs of the business. Establish regular business metric expectations and consistently work with team to ensure appropriate execution. Hold regular meetings with team, both group and individual, to inform, coach, and support new and existing practices.
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Criminal Justice, Communications, Finance, or Business). Candidates who do not have a degree must demonstrate a high level of expertise and proficiency in the desired skills and abilities.
MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with critical incident leadership and decision making.
Ability to lead and manage in a collaborative team environment.
Proven problem solving and analytical ability for high level organizational issues.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficient to all levels of organizational leadership
Ability to navigate and operate multiple software platforms responsible for supportingthe BRIC initiatives, specifically exception-based reporting, and incident response/management systems.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and manage tasks with a high level of concern for detail.
