The Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of permanent markdowns/price changes across all merchandising divisions. The Pricing Analyst will have frequent interaction with buyers and divisional planners and CPO team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Pricing Analyst manages the Price Mailbox and ensures that all price changes have proper approvals and are executed in a timely manner. The Pricing Analyst will also generate Markdown reports and compile team feedback to support the weekly Pre-Week Markdown and Audit process.
Execution and Analysis
Responsible for managing the MIO.price mailbox.
Ensures that all price changes have proper approvals and are executed in a timely manner.
Provides buying/planning team with status updates of change requests.
Generates Markdown reports and compile team feedback to support the weekly Pre-Week Markdown, Markdown and Audit process.
Partners with cross-functional teams to resolve pricing conflicts/issues.
Provides User/Admin support for MDO as needed.
Develops and maintains effective working relationship with members of cross-functional teams (Buying, Planning, IT, Store Operations).
Keeps individual, division, and total company goals in mind when making decisions.
Demonstrates and utilizes strong communication skills in interactions with internal and external business partners.
Continuous Improvement & Peer Support
Identifies and communicates opportunities to enhance current applications
Embraces new technology and system development features
Takes suggestions and communicates in an open and honest 2-way manner that foster's Burlington's commitment to achieving results as a team
Engages in training opportunities offered in order to continue self-development.
- College Degree
2-3 years experience in merchandising
Experience in Pricing or Planning systems is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Excellent organization skills and detail-orientation with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.
Ability to manage through conflict and problem resolution.
Strong computer skills with a thorough knowledge base of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to identify and apply systems solutions to business problems.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to adapt to changes.
