The Inventory Control Senior Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the financial and operational aspects of inventory control. This includes but is not limited to: review and approval of inventory transactional data; processing of store receiving and inventory adjustments including records and control maintenance; stock ledger research and reporting; participate in data validation and processing of physical inventory results. Also responsible for reconciliations, process documentation, reporting and process improvements, ensures compliance with established internal control procedures. In addition, this position is required to thoroughly understand the departmental policies, processes and procedures, assist with special projects for the Management team.
Validate accuracy and completeness of all inventory adjustments prior to processing; maintain control of all RMS inventory adjustment upload activity including timely resolution of exceptions; using Micro-strategy, maintain stock ledger reporting and investigate issues as needed; complete required reconciliations; document and/or update processes and procedures to ensure internal control procedures are current and month end closing responsibilities.
Maintain and validate cost flow through the stock ledgers
DC Reporting and supporting WMS and RMS transactions
Daily / Monthly inventory roll forward analysis
Record and analyze monthly AP / DC Inventory Adjustments
Work closely with DC Associates, Supply Chain and other field personnel.
Research problems and resolve when necessary
Participate in annual physical inventory reconciliations
Provide inventory reporting and support to departments and corporate as required
High school diploma required – Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
2-4 years’ experience in General Accounting / Inventory / Accounts Payable or other transactional processing environment
Retail experience is highly preferred.
Considerable knowledge of accounts payable including 3-way match processing
Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals
Understanding of and adherence to control procedures
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, Oracle 11i and/or Oracle Purchasing, Micro Strategy and other reporting tools
