As an Assistant Store Manager, Service you’ll be a leader of the store team, managing critical day-to-day store operations including Point of Service/Front End operations and Human Resource Initiatives including but not limited to staffing, hiring and scheduling. You will serve as a role model for store associates, demonstrating and reinforcing the company’s Core Values by developing trust and respect among peers and staff, building strong teams and partnerships with a collaborative work ethic, and driving business results by taking ownership and pride in the company’s success. You’ll coach, train and develop your team on providing excellent customer service while also taking charge of service-oriented business operations to ensure proper customer service standards are consistently implemented.
Day-to-day management of store service operations including but not limited to management of customer service and cashier teams to ensure excellent customer service and professionalism at all times, ticketing and EAS tagging, layaway management, safekeeping of company funds and property including supervision of Cash Office and Auditor
Direct supervision and management of Customer Service Supervisors
Drive participation in Social Responsibility and Community Relations initiatives including front end solicitation and awareness campaigns.
Manage Human Resources Initiatives including but not limited to staffing, training, attendance, scheduling, availability, communication and break room message board compliance
Assist in management of all areas of store operations as needed
Candidates must have 2+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment and be able to work a flexible schedule; including early morning, nights, weekends and holidays as required. Candidates must also be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. and should be comfortable utilizing computerized scheduling and reporting software.
