Burlington Inclusion & Diversity, Territory Manager in Doraville, Georgia

Overview

Join Burlington’s growing Human Resources team as a Inclusion & Diversity, Regional Manager! This person will manage the organization’s strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across each realm: Workforce, Workplace, Marketplace, and Community.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Corporate I&D team, lead and manage the territory’s chapter of the Field Inclusion & Diversity Council and any subgroups (communications, coordinate conference calls/virtual meetings, set meeting topics, maintain updated rosters, and determine deliverables and activities)

  • Develop and implement relevant I&D initiatives and provide ongoing I&D support to Distribution Centers within the territory

  • Develop, facilitate, and support ongoing I&D learning and development for stores and Distribution Centers

  • Regularly collaborate with Territorial SVPs to keep leaders apprised of I&D initiatives and priorities to encourage participation from their associates

  • Suggest and coordinate delivery of training opportunities, I&D immersion activities, etc., aligned with the needs of associates within the territory, including tracking participation and completion rates

  • Research opportunities for I&D and community engagement locally

  • Regularly partner with Communications to curate evergreen and interactive I&D content targeted to associates within the territory on our internal app 1ST UP

  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualification s:

  • At least 3-5 years successful experience in an Inclusion & Diversity function, or related role (Learning and Development, Talent Management, etc.)

  • Experience managing or supporting Inclusion and Diversity Councils, Employee Resource Groups, or similar I&D-focused networks

  • Prior knowledge of I&D concepts and experience influencing change in a large organization

  • Comfortable with public speaking, making presentations, and conducting training in front of diverse audiences, including via WebEx or other online platforms

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects in a fast-paced, often changing environment.

  • Superior writing skills with the ability to create and edit PowerPoint presentations, business correspondence, etc.

  • Solid computer skills in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Retail (specifically in inclusion and diversity) or other equivalent industry experience a plus.
