Burlington Data Governance Analyst I in Edgewater Park, New Jersey

Overview

Come join our growing team of data practitioners as a Data Governance Analyst I, and be on the leading edge of Burlington’s digital transformation!. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for helping to establish data governance policies, processes, and standards that are in-line with organizational priorities, and working with Data Stewards in the business to enforce and ensure data is used and maintained properly.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in promoting efficient, accurate records, and effective information/data management throughout the organization. Must have strong interpersonal relationship building skills & strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering / Science, Physics, or Statistics

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience working in a data related role

  • 2-5 years of experience with data governance efforts

Skills and Abilities:
Must Have:

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Experience in data analysis, data profiling, data transformation, and data reconciliation techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with data quality and remediation tasks to interpret data quality issues, data flows, report mappings, and assist to develop the data lineage process.

  • Understanding of data governance best practices, tools, processes and roles

  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business

  • Passion for data and how to make it easy to find, understand and use

  • Attention to detail and ability to find data quality issues

  • Ability to influence others to align on data quality resolution solutions

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset

  • Experience establishing standard data definitions to develop business glossaries CDEs, CDEs business metadata management, master, reference data management, analyzing data models and data sources to develop data dictionaries and data lineage documentation, defining Data Quality (DQ) controls/rules, dimensions & criteria, and document data policies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Informatica Axon data governance tool

  • Experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog

  • Experience with Master data Management

  • Retail domain experience preferred

  • Versed with Data Privacy Program Policies Implementations including Data Use, Data Retention and Maintenance, System and Data Accountability, Privacy Impact Assessment etc.
