Burlington DC Recruiting Coordinator - East Coast in Edgewater Park, New Jersey

Overview

If you want an exciting job with one of the largest off-price retailers in the nation, join the Burlington Stores, Inc. team as a DC Recruiting Coordinator! The DC Recruiting Coordinator will help us enhance our current quality and quantity of our new hires in our Distribution Centers. You will be responsible for assessing talent in tandem with the DC Management team. This associate will make hiring decisions for all areas and shifts of the Distribution Centers based on a candidate’s skills and abilities, and do so with a quick turn-around time enabling us to quickly and efficiently fill open jobs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interview Process

  • Assess talent of DC candidates in conjunction with DC Management team

  • Provide a copy of the interview schedule to Security each morning

  • Coordinate assigning interviews to the DC Management Team as well as scheduling interviews for themselves (TASC Interviewer)

  • Follow all CDC safety guidelines during interviews: designate an adequate space for interview, maintain social distancing (6 feet apart), wear masks and no handshakes

  • Communicate to candidates the expectations around Burlington’s safety policies and procedures

  • Provide an abbreviated tour of the DC warehouse at the end of an interview; only if you will be moving forward with the candidate

  • The guide for each interview should be turned in to HR at the end of each shift/day

  • Hiring Process

  • Make the offer to the associate during the interview

  • Orientation dates should be scheduled with new hires during the interview

  • Once offer is made, the Interview Decision Form must completed within 24 hours of interview

  • Conducting Orientations

  • Conducting new hire orientation to collect new hire paperwork

  • Coordinating temporary hires through staffing agencies

  • Assist with DC associate onboarding including but not limited to:

  • Participate in community based recruitment events

  • Organize all materials needed to recruit and interview offsite at event

Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Background in Human Resources.

  • Distribution Center environment experience a plus.

  • Workday experience preferred, but not required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced work environment

  • Proactive work ethic; does not need to be micro-managed

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality with an ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner

  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to establish partnerships with all levels of management, business partners and associates

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Bilingual preferred, not required.
