The Sr. Project Manager, Supply Chain position supports the supply chain organization through a variety of projects focused on design and implementation of the distribution network expansion and improvement. The projects are to enhance productivity, reduce expense, maximize throughput and ensure workplace safety. This role manages the entire lifecycle of these projects to ensure that supply chain goals are met.

  • Manage Supply Chain projects by providing project leadership and daily management for all assigned projects. Support the design and installation of material handling equipment, technology, and systems incorporated into existing, new and expanded network buildings. Support capital projects when required with work sampling, cost justification (Return on Investment), and cost/benefit analyses

  • Assist management development of the long term network strategy. Analyze data and report to management and others. Research and implement new concepts to improve the flow and setup in the distribution centers. Perform due diligence on each project to insure accuracy of costs assumptions, capacity assumptions, and timing assumptions. Develop presentations and present recommendations to senior management.

  • Work with internal and external resources (consultants and contractors) to ensure collaborative partnerships to meet business requirements. Responsible for contract administration, supplier/contractor management and change order negotiations

  • Proven experience managing capital projects larger than $30M on time, on budget, and on scope.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks at once, recognizing interdependencies & prioritizing appropriately

  • Experience in financial analysis, interpretation and presentation for project justification

  • Experience with implementation of productivity tracking, data collection systems

  • Strong ability to gather, analyze and interpret information and develop, recommend and implement solutions while maintaining budget

  • Management of a Cross-functional Team of Internal and External Resources

  • Distribution Center Operations in a National Logistics Network

  • Statistical Analysis, Operations Research and Line Balancing

  • Distribution Center Material Handling Systems Design and Implementation

  • Cost Analysis for Project Justification

  • AutoCAD and Database skills preferred & Manhattan Associates Supply Chain suite preferred

  • WES/WCS functionality

  • Up to 25% Travel on an Annual Basis to other Distribution Centers - Burlington, NJ AND Edgewater Park, NJ

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering & Project Management with 5+ years of related to process design, productivity improvement, cost reduction, material handling equipment and systems design, and capital project implementation.
