As an Overnight Receiving Assistant Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing overnight receiving, processing and overall back-of-house operations for a multi-million dollar retail store operation. You’ll lead by example and provide feedback to team members on a regular basis to ensure that best practices for receiving, ticketing, sorting, and moving merchandise are properly implemented. Your organizational skills and ability to successfully coach a diverse team through every phase of the Stock and Merchandise Flow process will be critical in driving results. The Overnight Receiving Assistant Manager will be expected to solely manage the overnight receiving team, and reports into the Assistant Store Manager of Operations.
Coach, train, and develop the overnight receiving team in the receiving, processing, ticketing, sorting, and displaying of merchandise from the shipping/receiving platform to the sales floor while continuously evaluating associate performance.
Manage the receiving process, transfers, debits/damages, and charge-backs to maintain the accuracy of the inventory.
Interview and hire qualified applicants to meet the needs of the shift, then oversee on-boarding, orientation, and training of all new associates.
Manage the overall execution of all receiving Standard operating Procedures.
Manage HR Initiatives/HR Compliance in partnership with Store Manager.
Audit, validate and report on inventory using purchase orders and ticketing.
Safeguard company assets by securing the facility
Candidates must have 3+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment and be able to work overnight shift as well as weekends and holidays as required. Candidates must be able to bend and lift items up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time. Candidates should be comfortable utilizing computerized scheduling and reporting software, as well as be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
