Overview
Title: IT Support Specialist II
Department: Technical Services
Position Summary:

The position performs a variety of basic and complicated tasks using experience and guidance to accomplish goals. He or she will work as an individual and as a member of a team under the guidance of the manager and/or supervisor. Working with little supervision and being accountable for responsibilities of the Technical Services team is essential to the success of the position. The position is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

As a Level II technician, the candidate will provide the team with the completion of essential functions allowing the Technical Services team to succeed.

Scope and Impact:

Scope includes technology support for the corporate, field, distribution and store environments.

  • Effectively manage time and priority of many daily tasks. Effective and efficient resolutions are essential.

  • Provide excellent customer service, timeliness, communication and follow up.

  • Provide detailed documentation regarding steps taken to resolve issues and fulfill requests in the form of incident diary entries, knowledge base and wiki articles.

  • Work as an effective team member on various projects and initiatives including but not limited to large scale software and hardware deployments.

  • Required to report on various elements of the job on a regular basis to the manager and/or supervisor.

  • Travel to various locations will be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and provide end users with hardware and software support.

  • Act as a team member on departmental projects, including, but not limited to, large scale software/hardware upgrades/migrations.

  • Provide detailed documentation regarding steps taken to resolve issues and fulfill requests in the form of knowledge base and wiki articles.

  • Provide limited to intermediate training of end users

Experience:

  • Possesses 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the field or in a related area is required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong skills in troubleshooting the following:Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office Suite, MacOS, iOS, Internet applications, third party applications

  • Excellent Customer Service skills are required

  • Networking principles including routing, switching, and wireless communications

  • Organizational, Verbal and written communication skills a plus

  • Time management and proper prioritization of large number of daily tasks
