Come join our growing team here at Burlington Stores as an Investor Relations and Treasury Analyst! This position will work closely with the Investor Relations and Treasury team and collaborate cross functionality with cash operations, accounting, FP&A , real estate, and executive management. You will also interface with public equity investors, investment bankers and consultants. This is a dynamic position within Burlington Stores, Inc that will require strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and financial statement analysis and the ability to generate insights from peer earnings, analysts reports, and company presentations. You must be able to work under tight deadlines, prioritize multiple workstreams, and deliver a high-quality work product.
Collaborate on special projects such as cash flow software integration, harness alternative data sources to generate insight into relative performance, and ad hoc analysis as requested by senior management
Responsible for aspects of the design, writing, production and coordination of investor relations communications, including earnings documents (press release, script and Q&A, IR deck), conference and roadshow materials, investor relations website and other investor materials.
Perform research and analysis of industry, peers' and competitors' financial statements, operational statistics and valuation including building and maintaining proprietary analytical models.
Leverage 3 rd party software to research, analyze and report on stock ownership, investor base, and trading activity of Burlington Stores, its peers and competitors. Track investor engagements.
Gather, analyze and present internal marketing, operations and financial data in support of investor communications.
Perform various corporate finance analyses (e.g., liquidity, capital structure/allocation, financial leverage, balance sheet, etc.), and assist with debt compliance certificates
Assist in the short-term cash flow forecast and align with long term internal forecasts. Understand drivers of variance and share conclusions with the team.Participate in the discussion on working capital and BS analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance or related field. MBA/CFA progress is a plus. Equity research or basic programming language knowledge (i.e. python) is a plus.
1-3 years of relevant experience
Ability to understand business concepts and financial analyses.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience in developing presentations.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to translate information about operational and financial performance into simple messaging.
Ability to work with external information sources (analysts, companies, consultants, vendors).
Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
