Burlington Manager, Corporate Space Planning in New York, New York

As the Manager, Corporate Space Planning , you’ll be responsible for thestrategic planning, management, and supervision of Burlington’s corporate space planning for all Corporate buildings, Buying Offices, and Distribution Center office space. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll assess needs and develop/implement efficient workplace strategies.

This role can be based in either our corporate office in Burlington, NJ or in our NYC Buying Office.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in office space & occupancy management, workplace design / strategy, and furniture systems design and installation . A commitment to collaboration and strong leadership skills are a must. AutoCAD experience/skills are required, certification preferred.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of short-term and long-term space strategy in support of corporate growth

  • Liaise with HR/IT teams and departmental stakeholders to obtain insights with regard to space needs and technology requirements; align requests to long-range workplace strategy plans

  • Manage the ongoing space needs for each department, anticipate changes and plan/execute restacks as needed

  • Manage Burlington’s space and occupancy management policies, processes, and standards that support workplace experience and growth

  • Utilize technology platforms to manage space usage, Moves/Adds/Changes, and reporting (i.e., Office Space / AutoCAD / Workday)

  • Generate occupancy and utilization reports to identify future opportunities for efficiencies

  • Own Burlington’s design standards (space, furniture, finishes) to ensure consistency throughout the corporate offices

  • Manage the furniture design and installation process based on Burlington’s standards, space requirements and long term occupancy planning

  • Manage furniture vendors, IT, and facilities team on proper design and execution

  • Directly supervise associated vendors and consultants when required

  • Manage Facilities Space Planner, providing direction on all initiatives for test fits, furniture redesign, and Moves/Adds/Changes (MAC) process to identify efficiencies and process improvement

  • Travel requirement 10%

Additional requirements include:

  • An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of related training and experience (architecture, design, engineering, real estate, facilities management, business, etc.) is strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of space and occupancy related systems (e.g., / Office Space, AutoCAD)

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive and communicate change, generate creative approaches and solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management as well as various levels of staff and management across the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment working with multiple and diverse responsibilities
